Sagres and Aljezur are the municipalities that have good beaches for surfing, offering good conditions of access, wc and the watchful eye of lifeguards during the summer season: the Arrifana, Amado, Cordoama, Zavial and Tonel.

"O apetite nasce à mesa"
This Portuguese saying portrays what is experienced in Algarve gastronomy and it's the people from other cultures that prove it.
"Cataplana" has no translation, many don't know what it's about but once it's on the table it's impossible to remain indifferent to its smell, flavour and colour.
From the sea to the plate, delicacies are made that you don't want to miss, delight yourself!
Trails along the coast
A good suggestion for the adventurous is a walk along the coast, the superb views over the cliffs will make you look at our beaches from another perspective and with another charm, you can immerse yourself in the immensity of the sea's tones and observe its diversity from a panoramic view. Don't forget that our summer is hot and dry, so interspersing a walk, with a swim, a paddle or a kayak will help cool you down!
Sea Caves
Along the Algarve coast you can observe the most beautiful works of art of nature. For centuries the water hit the rocks carving caves and rocky structures that invite us to go look at the land with our eyes on the sea. In the case of the emblematic Benagil Cave, called “The Cathedral” because of its several arches, it is in fact a place of worship to nature, it has rocky walls that vary between white and yellow as if they had been painted by hand, and the shadow of its immense dimension makes the water present a superb transparency in shades of heavenly blue. Its access by swimming can become quite dangerous due to the entrance and exit of boats, so it is advisable to book a kayak or Stand Up Paddle tour to make the visit.
Marine biodiversity
The calm and almost always crystalline waters make the Algarve an attractive destination for water sports, the region's marine biodiversity is inviting to be contemplated and appreciated. You can always discover the biodiversity at the top of the Stand Up Paddle board or kayak.
Look for calm
Along the coast you can find small idyllic corners, where you can have a picnic, meditate or just contemplate the sea without any big fuss. Not being concessioned beaches, the sea conditions must be evaluated before going, you have to take into account that they are not supervised and for that reason, they are not recommended for radical activities. Ninho das Andorinhas and Balbina are two good examples of places to look for calm. However, one of the alternatives for the search for calm, is the practice of some water sports, such as Surf, Stand Up Paddle or kayak, try it, it is relaxing!
Fun nights
The Algarve in the summer months offers nightlife for all tastes. It falls short of the knowledge of many is that a good night can start with your feet in the sand. This is the case of Praia da Galé where it is possible to end the day watching the sunset accompanied by a drink and good music. During the summer, there are plenty of places where you can enjoy the bathing season with more rhythm.
You can start and end the day at Galé beach, start with surf and end with sunset.
Blue Flags
The Algarve has 87 blue flag beaches, 26 of which are in Albufeira, meaning that the range of beaches that offer all the criteria, management, education, information, quality and safety is vast. You have a lot to explore, you can still go carefree because what you will not miss are “shadows” to rent, surfboards, kayaks, places to eat and to clean up. If your intention is to combine all this with landscape diversity, we recommend Praia da Coelha, and for leisure or equipment rental you can always talk to us!
Michelin Stars
If you are a fan of gastronomic experiences without looking at the bill, we suggest you the opportunity to enjoy a meal in one of the eight Michelin-starred restaurants in the Algarve, the oldest in the region and one of the only two, with two stars the "Vila Joya" in Albufeira.
Birdwatching
There are several places where you can stop to observe various species of birds, viewpoints, footbridges and other places for this practice, but the best of this region is its surroundings, the symbiosis between the pine forests, woods, orchards and the beach where you can enjoy a day at the beach listening and observing a variety of birds, many of them rare.
