Surfing and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) are becoming more and more popular in Portugal. In these sports, the levels of effort vary over time and it is important to understand which areas of the body are most worked on. The best of all is that practising this type of physical activity gives strength and aerobic resistance, is suitable for all age groups and provides unforgettable moments in contact with nature.

- Arms: the strength of the arms and shoulders is necessary to row or to propel ourselves in the water.

- Core: to remain stable, on the board, the effort is constant, especially of the abdominal muscles.

- Back: the movements of surfing and SUP work the back muscles, especially those of the lower region.

- Glutes: when we catch a wave, the squats are constant.
